We have gotten into the routine of going to my parents' for Christmas Eve/Christmas morning, and then driving down to Kevin's parents' house for Christmas afternoon/evening. It has worked well in the past, but now that we have Lewis, it might be a little too much time in the car (for Lewis and us). We might revisit the plan sometime between now and next Christmas and see if there is a better way.
Back to this year, we spent Christmas morning at my parents' house.

It is a magnetic farm animal matching toy for him to play with while we are in the kitchen (theoretically, instead of the cabinets, dog bowls, trash can, etc.)

And a cell phone of his very own so that he might not (again, theoretically) try to eat ours as often. :)
Then it was breakfast, followed by our road trip back to KY. We unloaded dogs and presents, and then headed to Kevin's parents' house for a late lunch/early dinner and more gifts!
The cell phone is a good idea...Abram needs one of those, or a toy remote control...he's obsessed with those items.
ReplyDeleteLewis, too! The cell phone seems to be a hit so far. Fisher Price, I think, also had a smart phone at Target (but they appear to be sold out now) with big buttons with pictures (like smart phone Apps icons). I thought it might pass for a remote for his purposes. Obsessed. :) They go straight into his mouth.
